Summary

R600a is a low-GWP hydrocarbon (HC) featuring at least 99.5% or 99.9% purity, which is used in residential refrigeration applications and with small-sized commercial refrigeration equipment. R600a is a flammable refrigerant (Safety Class A3). This product has been used in the operation of home refrigerators since the early 1990s, due to its physical-chemical properties, most suitable for medium/high-temperature applications. Moreover, R600a is a component of a few blends found on the market. Ecologically, R600a is a gas featuring low GWP (3) and zero ODP.
